The strapping son of Laranto has won three times for local trainer Paul Smythe and should provoke plenty of interest at the sale. By George Local punters should follow the fortunes of Black George when he resumes this campaign at Ascot on Saturday. The nuggety son of Blackfriars proved his fitness with a devastating trial win after the races last Saturday. The well bred gelding demolished his rivals by eight lengths and will take his place in a 74 rated -1200 metre race at Ascot. Black George became the local pin up boy last year when he won a hat trick of races at Kalgoorlie before heading to Perth and getting the money at Belmont Park. "The little bloke is flying and he should be around the place on Saturday" Peter Fernie told The Gurkha. |
