Talia Maor another mature aged apprentice who has ridden with success in Kalgoorlie over the past three seasons tied the knot on the weekend, marrying former Perth Racing Marketing and Sponsorship executive Josh Rodder in Melbourne last Sunday. Maor was apprenticed to Fred Kersley but will transfer across to Melbourne in the near future. Rodder made a big impact during his time in WA and judged his week at last years Kalgoorlie Round as one of the highlights of his two year tenure in WA and rated the Goldfields Race Round very similar to the famous Warrnambool jumping festival. Rodder has joined the marketing department at the Melbourne Racing Club. The couple were married in a traditional Jewish ceremony at the Moonee Valley race course and will return to Pert briefly before settling in Melbourne.
