Gun young apprentice Damian Lane rode without a claim at Sunday’s meeting after riding his 80th winner on Simplyirresistble at Belmont Park last Saturday. The son of leading Bunbury trainer Michael Lane, himself a former top jockey who won the 1991 Kalgoorlie Cup on the Neville Parnham trained Higginsville, Lane has risen quickly to his current position as one of the states leading apprentice jockeys. |
