Ride Of The Day by The Gurkha

 9/06/2010

Jamie Morgan finally broke through for her first win for the season with a rails hugging ride to get Cool Euro home for her on loan master Paul Smythe.
Smythe has shown considerable faith in his stable apprentice and was rewarded with the win.
“She puts a lot of work into this horse at home. He is a very immature horse and Jamie has had to show a lot of courage and talent to ride him at the track.” Smythe said.
“We figured that if she got back and followed the rails home the gaps might open and that’s exactly what happened.”
“He is a nice type of a three year old and he looks capable over a distance.”
“We may look at a late season three year old race for him in Perth.”
Cool Euro stormed home from near last, with Morgan utilizing the cut-away rail to finish strongly on the inside of Bianco Nero and Troubled Waters to get the nod in a thrilling finish.
