The Rod Brown trained Secret Prince appears to be a horse to follow in the coming months and is another example of the strong team of three year olds racing in Kalgoorlie this season. Secret Prince is by Secret Savings out of the Fairy King mare Flash Fairy who has failed to deliver as a brood mare but it appears that Secret Prince could be ready to buck that trend. The gelding had shown promising trial form both in Kalgoorlie and at Belmont Park and his first up effort when seventh to Dontorio after drawing wide, was a pointer to Sunday’s winning effort. The claim for Ganesh and barrier one was perfect for Secret Prince who scored by over two lengths from Delight Fantastic. The second placed galloper had good provincial form having finished sixth at his most recent start behind Triple Ken who finished second to the promising Antique Rose at Belmont Park last Saturday.
